KCMO Fire Station #14
This new three-bay fire station, a design-build project with Titan Construction, will be the first Kansas City battalion chief headquarters design to be built north of the Missouri River. The design is a one-stop shop where fire companies can obtain fuel and refill air and oxygen. The station will also be used as a training facility for the KCMO Fire Department's fire companies north of the Missouri River.
For the KCMO Fire Station #14 project, we provided 20,000 sq. ft. of an SS-2000 architectural standing seam metal roof system which was field formed and installed. Also included in our installation was an ice and watershield underlayment over 5/8" plywood sheathing and 3-inch ISO ridged insulation which was mechanically fastened through to the metal deck. Attached to the roof was 2,800 sq. ft. of a 1-inch flush seam soffit panel system fastened with concealed fasteners to structural steel.
In addition to the roof panel system, we installed 4,500 sq. ft. of UC-601 corrugated metal wall panel product manufactured by UNA-Clad Firestone. Included in this installation was a moisture barrier underlayment over 3 inches of ISO ridged insulation mechanically fastened with exposed fasteners to "Z" purlins.
All paint finishes are Silver Metallic G-90 galvanized sheet metal.
